The crime-statistics indicate that in the next hour, somewhere in the United States, the following will happen:

The fact is that most men are physically stronger then women. Therefore, women need an efficient way to protect themselves. The skills we are presenting: Awareness, Prevention, Psychological Preparation, Self Realization of your own physical power for Defensive and Attack moves that will help you handle violent situations and can save your life.

Many people think of self defense as a karate kick to the groin or jab to the eyes. But self defense actually means doing everything possible to avoid fighting someone who threatens or attacks you. Self defense is a matter of life skills, which include knowledge, awareness, appropriate behavior and the ability to apply them on the spot.

That being said, I would like to present you with a different way of thinking. It may be unlikely that you'll ever need to use self-defense to defend yourself or your family, but what is likely is that you commonly find yourself in a situation that makes you feel vulnerable, even just for a few seconds. That feeling you get when you catch a strange man staring at you inappropriately or coming home later than expected to a dark and empty house, walking to your car in a mostly deserted parking garage, meeting someone new online and wondering whether you should meet them in person or not, or the noise in your house at night that wakes you from your sleep. 

It's not until you can answer those "what if " questions with knowledge and skills thatyou will have the skills to escape an assault.

No amount of training will rid you of a quickened heart rate as you approach your car alone at night. But what training will give you is a sense of power, a sense of control over your wellbeing, your future, your family, your life. The knowledge that in the unlikely event of an assault, you'll know what to do, you'll fight back with purpose and skill, you'll SURVIVE.

Unarmed Self Defense

Self defense is NOT a martial arts class. Self defense courses are intended to give participants some instruction in awareness and self-preservation in a fairly short period of time. Self defense IS NOT a sport. There are NO RULES.

Armed Self Defense

In some states, it is legal to carry weapons (for example firearms) on one's person for purposes of self defense. In Massachusetts, MACE is legal for women over the age of 18, but firearms require a FID license.
