The DETOX Overview

Cleansing or detoxing has been practiced for centuries by cultures around the world - including Ayurveda and Chinese medicine systems - detoxification is about resting, cleansing and nourishing the body from the inside out.

Basically, detoxification means cleansing the blood. This is done by removing impurities within the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymphatic system, and skin.

The 21 Day DETOX is a guide to help you take out foods that are unhealthy, toxic, or create an unbalance in your body. At the same time, it suggests foods (and activities) to add that will help your body naturally cleanse itself with more antioxidants, nutrients and less stress.

The DETOX is a progressive program that focuses on making specific dietary changes in 4 day bursts. Every 4 days you'll cut out specific foods and trade up for healthier choices eventually avoiding all saturated fat, trans fats, over processed, refined foods, sugar, soda, juices, and alcohol. By the end of this DETOX, you'll stress less, eat clean, move more, and feel great!

  • Never miss a meal, especially breakfast.

  • Consume healthy fats each day.

  • Exercise at least 3x per week.

  • Take 5 minutes a day for yourself.

  • Change your mindset for a lifetime

Let's create a NEW YOU

Create a NEW HABIT

It only takes 3 weeks to develop a new habit.

However, in order to change a current behavior, habit or mindset you MUST be willing to make a choice that you haven't made before! When the same brownie, cocktail, or limited time excuse is presented all that needs to happen is the act of choosing something different.  Saying "NO" to that brownie or cocktail, then making time for yourself, whether that be in meditation or your physical pursuit of fitness. The most important thing is that in order to develop new healthy habits you are going to have to make time for yourself and make nice with food again!

What are healthy FOODS?

Things have to be REAL in order to be called food. Food is something that was once alive and came from the land, sea or sky. You know, apples, oranges, avocados, chicken, sweet potatoes, shrimp, almonds. Chemicals, artificial sweeteners, yellow dye #5, fat blockers, preservatives, pesticides, plastics, GMO's (genetically modified organisms) don't count as healthy or food. The American Medical Society has coined a term for these chemicals found in processed foods: obesogens. These obesogens disrupt normal hormonal balance and inhibit lipid (fat) metabolism. Your body doesn't recognize obesogens as food, doesn't know what to do with it, and stores it as fat. Ironically, most "diet" and packaged foods are loaded with obesogens.
